Gather privacy policy

Your notes, tasks, and projects
Gather stores your content on your device and uses your private iCloud database to synchronize projects, tasks, and meeting notes between your devices. This content may include handwriting, transcripts, suggested tasks, and related dates. Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. Gather does not send this content to a developer-operated server, and the developer does not have access to your private iCloud database through Gather.
On-device intelligence
Gather uses Apple’s on-device handwriting recognition and Foundation Models to read meeting notes and suggest tasks. Gather does not send meeting content to an external AI service. Personal notes are excluded from automatic meeting processing. You can turn off automatic processing for a note. Suggestions may be inaccurate; review them before relying on them.
Optional Apple integrations
With your permission, Gather reads Apple Reminders and synchronizes task titles, details, due dates, and completion changes. Imported task information becomes part of Gather’s stored data and may sync through your private iCloud database. Gather also reads Calendar events to display upcoming events and provide meeting context; it does not modify those events. Information you add to a meeting note is stored with that note.
You can disconnect these integrations in Gather and manage permissions in system settings. Disconnecting an integration does not automatically erase information already imported into Gather.
Notifications and Live Activities
With your permission, Gather uses local notifications to indicate when meeting actions are ready for review. Its quiet Live Activity uses generic status information rather than your task titles or meeting content. Gather does not use a developer-operated notification server for these features.
Advertising, tracking, and diagnostics
Gather does not include advertising, third-party tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. Apple may collect and share diagnostics according to your device settings and Apple’s policies.
Support communications
If you email support, the recipient receives your email address and any information you choose to include. Support communications are used to respond to requests and resolve issues. Please send only information needed for your request. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the support address; records may need to be retained where legally required.
Managing your information
You can delete notes and tasks within Gather. Deleting a meeting note keeps tasks already created from it. Changes synchronize to your other devices when iCloud sync is available. Copies in Apple Reminders are managed separately; deleting a Gather task does not necessarily remove its original reminder. You can also manage Gather’s iCloud data through Apple’s account and storage controls. Deleting the app alone does not necessarily delete its iCloud data or information in other Apple apps.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated as Gather changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Website services and email providers have their own privacy practices; this policy describes the Gather app and its support communications.
